This is really great Bill.

This is really great Bill. The traffic tie in with real time data would allow the site to be useful on a day-to-day basis. If the events are part of a syndicated feed then mobile apps or anybody could mashup the data in useful ways.

News organizations would find it very valuable because so much info would be in one place.

Hello, very good advise, thank you for these ideas, I will apply them in practice too; just found a related video on GSA's newest web portal, which serves as a vast resource where the you can access real-time alerts from the government on topics ranging from food recalls to weather emergencies. This is also one of the ways public alerts can be brought into action. I hope it can be useful for other bloggers, as an additional tip. As for me, I find it a good example of achieving higher functionality plus better traffic plus meeting the demands of the visitors.
